QUETTA: Justice Noor Mohammad Miskanzai of Balochistan High Court adjourned on Tuesday the hearing of a bail application of Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti and his 26 security guards till Wednesday.
Mr Bugti’s lawyer had filed the application on Monday after a similar application was rejected by sessions court judge Mohammad Daud Nasar.
The prosecutor general told the court that the record of the case against Mr Bugti had not been handed over to him and he should be given time for preparing the case.
However, the counsel for Mr Bugti and his 26 security guards, W.N. Kohli, submitted that it was a simple arms case in which his client should be given bail.
The judge, after hearing arguments from both sides, adjourned the hearing till Wednesday.
Later, talking to newsmen, Mr Kohli said that Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti was suffering from ulcer and high blood pressure.
Mr Bugti was brought to Civil Hospital, Quetta, on Monday amid tight security for a medical check-up as he was not feeling well in the district jail. Doctors took a specimen of his blood for a medical test.
