Consensus remains major success

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that the politics of consensus and reconciliation had been a major success in resolution of issues of national importance and government is determined to adhere it in coming days.

Yousuf Raza GilaniHe said that all the political forces of the country would be taken on board and their suggestions would be given due consideration in the formulation of policies in  greater national interest. The Prime Minister was talking to Federal Ministers, Syed Khursheed Shah, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Advisor to PM, Mian Raza Rabbani and Minister of State for Information, Syed Sumsam Ali Bokhari at Prime Minister’s House.

The Prime Minister said that government was taking solid steps for welfare of the people with a view to bring rapid socio-economic development in every nook and corner of the country.
He said that his meetings with Parliamentarians on the sideline of every Parliament Session has been proving to be a very successful exercise as it provides a valuable input for execution of government’s development agenda.
The Ministers briefed the Prime Minister about the status of various initiatives for improving the life standard of people of the country. They also apprised the Prime Minister about various steps being taken to improve the performance of their respective ministries.
