ISLAMABAD(Breaking News Pakistan): In a bid to pacify the current political chaos, the government had decided to reduce the prices of the petroleum products by Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.
The federal minister for petroleum, Syed Naveed Qamar presented the price reduction proposal in a parliamentary leadership’s meeting, headed by the Prime Minister Gilani, held at the prime minister’s secretariat on Thursday.
The meeting was told that the government had decided to increase the prices due to the current price hike in the international markets.
On the other hand, MQM and PML-N rejected the partial reduction and demanded to take back the full increment on the petroleum products.
The Prime Minister would announce the decision in the parliament later on today.
