KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has demanded of the government to reverse the recent increase in the prices of petroleum products and to eliminate corruption, Geo News reported Sunday.
This was stated by MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari while talking to media men along with Haider Abbas Rizvi here at MQM Headquarters.
He said MQM has decided in its meeting of Coordination Committee held simultaneously in Karachi and London to sit on opposition benches.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said that applications would be formally submitted to speakers of National Assembly and the Senate tomorrow (Monday) for moving from government to opposition benches.
“We have been and will continue to engage in dialogue all the political and religious parties inside and outside the parliament,” Faizal Sabzwari said.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said MQM would strongly oppose any step or decision of the government that is against the interests or welfare of the people. However, he added, that the party would extend ‘unconditional support’ to government’s people friendly decisions.
