Khawaja Asif: MQM only party lead by foreigner

LAHORE(Latest News): PML-N accepts MQM chief’s challenge. PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was the only Pakistani political party whose chief was a foreigner, Geo News reported.

PML-N says MQM only party lead by foreignerHe also offered MQM chief Altaf Hussain, who is also a UK citizen, for arranging Pakistani visa.

The PML-N leader was addressing the media in Lahore over ongoing tit for tat political blame game between the two political parties which started after Nawaz Sharif blamed MQM for Karachi’s violence in his Sunday’s address in Muzafarrabad.

Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and Nawaz Sharif’s Political Secretary Dr. Asif Kirmani also accompanied him during the press conference.

Nawaz Sharif said: “100 people were targeted in revenge after the killing of Dr Imran Farooq in London. He also asked why 50 persons were killed in Karachi when Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had gone there and was held at the airport building and not allowed to go to the city.”

He asserted that it was MQM, which threatened the Chief Justice of Pakistan of dire consequences on visiting Karachi, while it also burnt to death the lawyers, who were pleading case of May 12 killings in Karachi, in their chambers, and it also killed 90 people against assassination of its one leader.

Responding to another query by reporters, he said, MQM chief Altaf Hussain resorted to character assassination of PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, however, the N-League would not respond in a language (loose talk) used by Altaf Hussain.

Encountering the Muttahida, he said that his party was ready to argue (Munazra) with MQM in Lahore, Karachi or anywhere.
