Raisani’s convoy in Quetta targted

imagesQUETTA: A bomb targeted the convoy of the top elected official in Pakistan’s southern province of Baluchistan on Tuesday, killing one person but leaving the chief minister unhurt, police said.

The bomb was intended for the motorcade of Nawab Aslam Raisani in Quetta, the capital of a province that has been rocked by separatist insurgency and Taliban violence on both the Afghan and Iranian borders.

“A man was killed and an unspecified number of people wounded in a bomb blast as the motorcade of chief minister Baluchistan Nawab Aslam Raisani passed a railway crossing in Saryab Road,” senior police official Salim Lehri said.

Lehri told that;“The chief minister was the target, but he remained unhurt,”.Raisani, the target of the attack, was on his way to attend an assembly session.
