Pakistan had incurred huge losses after 9/11 and thousands of Pakistani soldiers had sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism, Addressing a seminar in Islamabad, Malik said.
Furthermore Malik included that the Taliban could not be distinguished as good or bad.Emphasising on the need to develop a common strategy to combat terrorism, Malik said terrorists were using fear as a weapon to translate their nefarious objectives into reality.
The minister further said that the Pakistani police was not capable of handling the terror threat with the resources at its disposal. Malik said poverty and unemployment were among the root causes of terrorism. He vowed that Pakistan will continue to fight terrorism and will eventually eliminate it.
